Tip: put the invoice number and due date in the description, keep quantity at 1, and enter the amount due.

Totals & notes

Everything runs locally. No file, no field, no customer name is ever uploaded.

How it works

  1. List the open invoices. One line each: invoice number, due date, amount.
  2. Check the total. The statement adds the lines and shows the balance due.
  3. Send it monthly. A regular statement makes an ageing balance visible without another awkward email.

Statement vs invoice

An invoice creates the obligation to pay for a specific piece of work. A statement of account is a summary of what is still open across several invoices. It does not replace the invoices and it does not create a new charge — it simply puts the whole balance on one page.

When a statement helps

  • A customer has more than two unpaid invoices
  • You send invoices monthly and want one consistent summary
  • A balance has been ageing and reminders are getting ignored
  • A bookkeeper asks “what do we actually owe you?”

What to include

  • The words “Statement of account” and a statement number
  • The statement date and the period it covers
  • Your details and the customer's details
  • Each open invoice: number, date, due date, amount
  • Any credits already issued
  • The total balance due and how to pay

FAQ

What is a statement of account?

A summary listing the invoices currently outstanding, any credits, and the total balance due.

When should I send one?

At month end, when a customer has several open invoices, or when a balance has been ageing quietly.

Does it replace the invoices?

No. It is a summary. The individual invoices remain the documents that evidence the obligation to pay.

Is my data uploaded?

No. Everything runs in your browser.
