The short version: what you type stays in your browser. BillCanvas does not have a server that receives your invoice data.

What stays on your device

Your business details, client details, line items and notes are saved in your browser's local storage so you can come back and finish a draft. They are not transmitted to us, and they are not synced across devices. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.

PDF generation

PDFs are created inside your browser by JavaScript. No document is uploaded, converted on a server, or stored in the cloud.

Server logs

The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard request information (such as IP address, user agent and requested URL) to deliver the page and protect the service. We do not use that data to identify you.

Analytics and advertising

BillCanvas uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are useful. It is served by Cloudflare, does not set cookies, does not use local storage for tracking, and reports aggregated numbers rather than a profile of you. There are no advertising scripts on the site. If advertising is added later, this page will be updated before any such script is enabled, and the appropriate consent controls will be applied where required.
